Bath Panels

Does your bath look as if it was just cobbled into your bathroom and not installed?  Our sturdy and attractive bath panels can bring a custom appearance to your bath area with a small investment.

Modern enamelled iron or steel baths usually have tile trim for decoration and wall protection. Tile, however, breaks too easily.  Our bath panels, installed on the open end(s) of the bath or behind it on the adjoining wall, protect the underlying wall material and impart a clean, contemporary look to your bath installation. Because our bath panels are monolithic in construction, they need be sealed only at the edges to keep stray water out of where it doesn't belong.  Their impervious and easily cleanable surfaces shed dirt and discolouration with minimal scrubbing.  Bath panels can also deny access to dead spaces where dirt and pests lurk.

Fibreglass or composite baths often come with their own integrated bath panelling, often incorporating soap dishes, shelves, towel rails, and grab handles into the panel.  Bath systems like this work well with contemporary décor and have a sleek, uncluttered look, something which many home owners now prefer.

Bath panels can be installed by a professional or even by a reasonably competent and careful home handyman.  The composite material cuts easily with a fine-bladed reciprocating saw for custom fitting and creating fixture penetrations.  A waterproof construction adhesive easily bonds the bath panel to the wall or to the bath, or grommet stainless steel screws (be sure to drill pilot holes to avoid cracking the panel) can be used if glue is not practical. Either way, this system beats stripping the wall of tile and laboriously re-tiling while still looking professional in outcome.

We stock a generous spectrum of colours to coordinate with the bathroom décor.  Since the colour is integrated into the panel's finish, our bath panels should not need painting (just be sure to use a sealer or a stain-blocking product if you simply must paint your bath panels.).

Bathroom Remodelling?  Consider a décor-coordinated bath panel as an inexpensive way to overlay damaged tile.  Most tile contractors will have one horror story and quite probably another waits.  The monolithic design of our bath panels reduces joints and eliminates the need for grout, as well as blocking leaks.  If you have decided not to worry, you can readily learn from their bad experiences and hopefully avoid a fussy, tedious repair job by substituting bath panels for tile.

For gypsum-board and plaster walls, bath panels can make a quick and durable repair to damaged substrate, including places with holes through the plaster or wall board wall. A vapour barrier underlying wall-mounted bath panels can help with bathroom moisture issues, and the bath panel itself protects the wall beneath from casual mechanical damage.

Why not browse our website and get a look at our bath panels as installed?  Our professional designers and decorators stand ready to assist you in selecting the bath panel type and pattern best suited to your bathroom.
